BEGINNER CLASSES
During these sessions, you will learn the fundamental processes for throwing on the wheel: centering, opening, and pulling. You can also learn hand-building techniques and glazing techniques to finish your work!

MIXED LEVEL OPEN STUDIO SESSIONS
During these sessions, students will focus on advancing their throwing skills, hand-building skills, and glaze experimentation.
Individualized instruction is provided for an in-depth learning experience.
Some experience with clay is required to sign up for these sessions, however if you have been to a single Nodd Pottery beginner class, you’re ready for mixed-level open studio!

OFF-HOURS STUDIO PRACTICE
Scheduling required!
These sessions are intended to allow students and community members with inconsistent and unpredictable schedules to sign up for studio time outside of or regular class and open studio hours.
Off-Hours Studio Practice requires virtual autonomy. There is always an instructor there to offer minimal assistance if needed. Whether you are a beginner who wants to practice outside of a classroom setting, an advanced student who needs extra time for works in-progress, or anyone in between, you can schedule your own time in the studio by emailing sarah@noddpottery.com, or click the link below!

KILN SPACE RENTAL
Do all your creating at home? We are one of the only studios in Chicago that offer kiln firings to artists not associated through studio programming.
We fire as high as cone 6. Pricing varies based on the cone of the clay body and the amount of work needed to be fired.

CLAY WITH ME!
Looking for something fun and creative to do with your littles (and your growing littles)? Nodd offers this program to give parents and parental figures time to spend time with their kids with a safe, fun, and unique activity for a little extra bonding time.

PRIVATE LESSONS
Some people prefer to learn in smaller groups or one-on-one. Nodd Pottery Art School is now offering private lessons for those who would prefer a one-on-one experience.

Are you an experienced artist looking for a space to work? Nodd offers a residency program to give established artists a space to practice and produce. Access to tools and equipment, as well as free firings, are included.

PAYMENT DETAILS:
In order to secure your spots, prepayment is required for all dates within 24 hours of confirmation, or those spaces will be made available to other registering students.
You can send payment via Zelle using our email address, sarah@noddpottery.com, as the contact recipient. Please include the date and time of your session/s in the memo line, as well as any additional information needed, eg. if you are paying for someone else or multiple people, if the name on the account is different from the name in the email correspondence, etc.
Payments sent to the wrong contact recipient will be forfeited
If you need to use a credit/debit card, please text 630-267-6355 to set up a call and payment can be made over the phone. There is a 10% service fee for card payments.
DO NOT USE VENMO without first reaching out and asking. Unauthorized payments made to Nodd Pottery using Venmo will be forfeited.
24 HOUR RESCHEDULING POLICY:
You can reschedule your session if you reach out 24 hours or more before your session is to take place. Read further for more information.
DRIVERS:
If you plan to drive, give yourself an extra 15-20 minutes to find parking.
